Mrs. Proctor is in her seventh year of teaching at McNeil High School. This is her 17th year of teaching overall. She received her bachelor of science degree in education - with certifications in journalism and English - from the University of Texas in 1987. She is also the Journalism Liaison for the Round Rock Independent School District.

The journalism program at McNeil has consistently received national awards and rankings including the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Silver Crown, the National Scholastic Press Association Pacemaker, and the Interscholastic League Press Conference Star.

Mrs. Proctor enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Her hobbies include watching movies, scrapbooking, interior decorating, and walking.
