Ms. Jackson has a Master's degree and 20 years experience in her career field. She graduated from Kaiserslautern American High School in West Germany.  Upon graduating from High School, she attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.  She completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. 

Ms. Jackson has teaching experience from the Houston Independent School District and the Texas Education Agency.   While at the Texas Education Agency, Ms. Jackson served as a program specialist in Health, Marketing, and Family and Consumer Sciences Education.  Ms. Jackson also served as a Home Economics County Extension Agent with Prairie View A&M University.  This is her 3rd year at McNeil High School. In her spare time, she is involved in several community projects. 

 Ms. Jackson is a single parent with one daughter, who presently attends Howard University in Washington, D.C.  Her daughter is in the honors program and has a double major in Music and Business.

Mission For All Classes

The overall mission for the Family and Consumer Sciences classes such as Personal and Family Development, Nutrition and Food Sciences, and Interior Design is to encourage personal growth, improve critical thinking skills, inspire creativity, make informed decisions through education, and prepare teens for real world experiences which will enable them to be successful as world-class students and citizens of our global society.
