Larry Vinklarek graduated from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 1985.He completed his Masters Degree in Agriculture Science in 1986. He has been teaching Agriculture Science 1985 with additional certifications in Agriculture Mechanics, Agriculture Cooperative Training, Hunter and Boater Education.

He has been teaching at McNeil High School since 1992 with courses in Ag Mechanics, Ag Greenhouse Operations, Vet .Tech.,Agriculture Animal Science and related courses. McNeil has a school farm facility which is supervised by Mr Vinklarek.

Mr Vinklarek is married and has two daughters ages three and five and  resides on eight acres between Leander and Liberty Hill.

Mr Vinklarek has served on the Vocational Agriculture Teachers of Texas Board of Directors for four years. He is currently on The Agriculture Science Credit Union Board of Directors, and Travis County Youth Show Board of Directors. He was named McNeil High School Teacher of the Year in 2001. Mr Vinklarek serves as the FFA Sponsor and is also on the McNeil Zone Advisory Committee.
